Resolving a dispute through litigation may not always be the most appropriate solution for a client. Quite often, disputes can and should be resolved by negotiation, both for financial reasons as well as to reach a settlement within a reasonable time period. The possibility of a negotiated settlement is assessed on an ongoing basis, even where legal proceedings have been commenced.
