Johan Schlüter Law Firm (JS) is organised as a Partnership (I/S). The lawyers within JS are appointed by the Danish Ministry of Justice and are members of the Danish Bar and Law Society.
General rules
JS complies with the Danish Bar and Law Society’s rules of lawyers’ ethics and good practice.
All JS lawyers are covered by the JS public liability insurance and guarantee according to the Danish Bar and Law Society’s established rules.
The insurance covers all lawyers’ practice regardless where the lawyer’s practice may take place.

Confidentiality
All JS employees are bound to observe professional secrecy in the cases we advise in. All employees have signed a declaration of confidentiality concerning our clients’ cases and other matters. Great emphasis is put on treating all information from or about the client with confidentiality.
Insider rules
As prescribed in the Danish Act on Securities Trading, JS has internal guidelines directions applied to both partners and employees, ensuring that all internal knowledge about limited companies and possible listed security trading is passed on properly.
Rules about money laundering and terrorist financing
As a law firm, JS is comprehended by the Danish Act on Preventive Measures against Money Laundering and Terrorist financing. JS has also composed an internal code of practice applied to all employees in order to ensure that this law is being observed.
According to this act, we are obliged to obtain identity information and documentation from new as well as existing clients in certain situations.
Provided a case is subject to the Rules of Money Laundering, clients must inform JS about their name, address, CPR No. (personal identity no.) or CVR No. (company number ) as well as provideproof of this identity. Foreign clients must state other types of information that will identify the client in the same manner.
The identity information will be kept on record for five years after the termination of the client relationship.
Choice of law and jurisdiction
Any disputes about JS’s legal advice are subject to Danish law and Danish court.
